Bishop Dennis Clodfelter and First Lady Denise Clodfelter
Bishop Dennis M. Clodfelter, is one of nine children born to the late Farris and Ruby Clodfelter in Davidson County, NC.
Reverend Clodfelter preached his initial sermon and received his license on April 7, 1996 at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Moses Caldwell. He received his ordination papers from the Rising Star Missionary Baptist Association. In 2000 he accepted his first Pastoral Leadership at the Lexington Christian Fellowship Church in Lexington, NC.
In June of 2003, he obeyed God’s call and became the Pastor and Founder of the New Life Worship Center of Lexington, Inc. On January 12, 2014 it was announced by Bishop S.T. Green with the agreement of the Advisory Committee members: Bishop Derek Kelly, Bishop Gregory Hargrave and Bishop Otis Robinson that Pastor Dennis M. Clodfelter will be consecrated as Bishop at a later date and he is now Bishop-Elect Dennis M. Clodfelter. On January 24, 2015 Bishop-Elect was consecrated as Bishop at the New Hope Holiness Church.
He is the past President of the Lexington Community Minister’s Conference. Was a former member of the Lexington Community Action and H.O.P.E. of Lexington.
Bishop was educated in the public School. He has a Bachelor Degree in Divinity from the Andersonville Theological Seminary School in Camilla, Georgia; and is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Care.
He is married to Cheryl “Denise” Clodfelter; he has three children Dennis “Shawn” Clodfelter, Kristie Clodfelter, Minister Donald (Maria) Clodfelter; two bonus daughters KaJuana (Scott) Perry, MarQuisha Hamilton; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grands, 3 God-children
One of his favorite sayings is “Let’s see what the Bible says”, and he believes that the Word is the source for all guidance and direction for the congregation and its ministers. One of Bishop Dennis Clodfelter’s favorite bible verse is “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Galatians 6:1
